Previously, Montserrat worked on an evaluation project of the CIFF's International Climate Strategy, and she consulted Mexican local governments on the creation of their development plans and performance indicators. She interned at the EU-LAC Foundation, the Mexican Embassy in Berlin, and the GESIS Research Institute in Mannheim. She also collaborated on a Model-Based Analysis project at a sustainability think tank in the US.
