Cornelia Fast is a PhD Student in the Department of Environmental Policy Analysis of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with a background in political science and global environmental governance.
Cornelia has a master's degree in Political Science - Global Environmental Governance from VU Amsterdam, which has allowed her to explore questions of how various environmental issues are interlinked and governed in challenging political landscapes. Her recent research has focused on individual and collective non-state and sub-state climate action in Sweden and globally. In practice, the research has consisted of both quantitative and qualitative mapping and analysis of the role of these actors, as well as their actions, including targets, strategies, and engagement in cooperative initiatives. In this project, the aim is to expand the mapping to multiple Sustainable Development Goals and to further assess the effectiveness of initiatives and partnerships.
